FAQs

What is a game session like?

Players connect with the game master using a video call program such as Zoom or Discord. It is encouraged, but not required, that players turn on their webcams. The Roll20 website is used for a graphical top-down presentation of scenes and challenges. After a brief tutorial on using Roll20 and game mechanics, the game master presents your desired adventure. Players interact with a fantasy world of fascinating characters, puzzles and exploration, and thrilling traps and combat. Every player gets to shine, using their character’s special skills to help the group succeed. The game master brings the world to life, with clear graphics, voiced persons and creatures, and dynamic narrative flow.

Do I need to worry about scary or adult content?

We understand that not everything is for everyone, so each session is tailored to your group’s comfort level. All players will be prompted to complete a Content Consent Form to indicate any topics or elements you may want to omit from your game. We can even provide combat-free games focused entirely on exploration and roleplay. Game sessions will be thrilling and challenging, but always respectful of boundaries.

What if I have something specific in mind?

Roleplaying gaming is not limited to Dungeons & Dragons and the realms of knights and goblins. We can create or run just about any scenario desired, from 1920s gumshoe detectives to a cyberpunk shootout. The four services we provide are merely guidelines, and can be customized to fit your needs. Email us your ideas and we’ll tailor a game just for you!

What if I need to cancel a game or service?

We get it, things happen. If you can't make a game or need to to reschedule, contact the game master as soon as possible so we can organize an alternative time. Due to the prep labor that goes into Quest and Enterprise games, we cannot offer refunds.

If you need to cancel a subscription such as a Campaign or Academy game, we can work to reschedule your remaining sessions for a different time.
